Disney is currently one of the biggest Blu-ray exclusive movie studios, and, to show their support for the next-generation media format is planning to embark on a tour.
Commencing on September 7th, Disney's Magical Blu-ray Tour will be traveling cross-country this holiday season in the hopes to educate the public of the benefits of High Definition media and the Blu-ray format. Along with general High Def. information and demonstrations, Disney is also promoting Cars and Meet the Robinsons, both of which will be released just in time for Christmas holiday season.
The tour will feature showings of several Disney movies in HD, hands on time with some Blu-ray features and extras, like the interactive Liar's Dice game from the Pirate's of the Caribbean Blu-ray best seller.
"Our goal with the Disney Magical Blu-ray Tour is to reach as many people as possible and to help educate the consumers across all demographics," commented Bob Chapek, President of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
"Our presentations and demo areas will hold something of interest for everyone, from kids and their parents, to older adults and teens. Even early adopters won¹t be disappointed with the first looks of the bonus materials that we're rolling out for our future titles. Since high definition is for everyone, we made sure that the Tour elements reflected that as well."
We highly recommend that if you live in or near any of the tour's locations to stop by and check out the activities. At each stop, visitor's can sign up to win a Blu-ray entertainment package with a stand alone player and some of Disney's best selling Blu-ray titles.

Great to see Disney helping show Blu-Ray to the general public.
Hey, this is great. It's time to educate some people about Blu-Ray
Thats huge for Blu-ray. Disney sells a lot of products and their movies are always a huge hit.
Those pussy's at Toshiba have questioned the PS3 buyers of not carring about Blu-ray
PS3 gamers: Buy at least 1 Blu-ray movie.
If every PS3 owner bought just 1 movie our sales numbers would be through the roof.
You can rent Blu-ray at Blockbuster. Rent one.
Please, If you know of PS3 owners who haven't bought a Blu-ray disc yet. Ask them to buy one!!!!!!!!
Please!!!!!!!!!
awww wtf, the California Dates passed =/, and no L.A visit? =/ that sucks.
psn id: gingo.... this is good a company is so sure this is the best format it does a tour for it, BLU RAY has already won though
this tour would really help 2 boost the ps3 sales
Go Blu-ray!!! Go Dysney!!!
"no more Paramount & Dreamworks, But we still got Disney"
The war continues.
seriously, what better way to get the mainstream more active in the hd are, particularly BLU RAY BABY
mickey mouse ftw!
It's about time a company steps up to educate the public. So many people are still in the dark on HD formats
this is good news
Disney is bigger then HD-DVD...
I love Disney! I'm also a compulsive liar!!!
@TruBlu2: I haven't bought a Blu-ray yet and I've had my PS3 for about 6 months now. There's really no point when all the TVs in your house run at 480i. I'll be sure to make up for it when I get my 1080p TV around Christmas.
Now they just need to get rid of all the crapbox360s in DisneyLand and they would be set.
w00000t!!! King of Prussia mall in King of Prussia, PA on Nov. 16 -18!!!! YES!!!! i live near there....i'll be checkin it out on these dates :)

OMG look at that Tour! frikken amazing its like a big world tour banging a big drum only its confined to a few suburban malls and a few unimportant people wearing a T-shirt or dressed as disney charactwers will try their best to educate some mall shoppers that Bluray actually matters - "Hi shoppers we are from Disney and you should buy a Bluray" "Yeah hoot hoot um hoot" .... "I said every one YAY BLURAY!"....."hey you lady stop"... "please"....."hey you little kid, listen to Mickey he knows Bluray is important OK so go ask your mum to buy one OK and-and now here is a lollie".... Uh-hem Hey everyone listen please - lets cheer Bluray ! rah rah....I said lets cheer....oh darn it - lets just pack up and go home early.... Might watch a DVD or download some prn....fancy a game of hide the sausage Minni?
Inferno, that is cool. You kinda need a hi-def tv to truly enjoy it. at least a 720/1080i.
You will love BD this christmas. Everyone needs to buy a BD movie
That is a lot of support, coming from such a successful company.
A lot of support? LOL. This is pathetic. A few people showing up to a few lousey shopping malls in America to spuik Bluray? TruBlu2 you should go on this trip and shout out to everyone "Please, If you know of PS3 owners who haven't bought a Blu-ray disc yet. Ask them to buy one!!!!!!!!" Come on we beg you just one .....Please!!!!!!! Far out man this Bluray stuff is being spun out by Sony Marketing so fast - it is starting to smell bad. Its not positive. Can we get back to Playstation now and stop pushing dumb movies that are of little value unless your a 10 year old kid and have not watched Sleeping Beauty or Bambi yet.
