gingo even if they dont do a remake of FFVII just get it u can find it on amazon for less than $10 and itz a great game!!!

i jus received my slim psp with FF CC teehee im freakin out, i own every FF game there is sept the cell phone ones, and i cant wait to add the XIII series to the bunch, on a more personal note, trojans ur right about the price! if i couldnt find it cheap i wouldnt be like on my 5th copy, i dont take care of the cds cus i play it off n on, -_-

Final Fantasy is awesome enough I would have spent $2,000 on a ps3 even if this was the ONLY game coming to it.  This series eclipses any other series on any console...you could take my next 5 favorite games and I would sacrifice every single one of them just for Final Fantasy...YES, it's that good.

I'm not a FF fan but I know that this game sells good, so congrats to Sony.

Who cares?.......SE will only release top class material, so when its ready it would be just what we had expect from them for a true FF game. Relax people....let the masters work their magic.

james3579.. that video shows the game running on a development system, what this article is saying is that they have the game running on an actual PS3 console now. while the development system does mimick the hardware of the console for development purposes, getting a game to run on a retail PS3 console is a different thing altogether.

This is  the only game that could actually exceed Halo sales.  The difference is that Final Fantasy  does better world wide than just being dominant in one region.

Final Fantasy xll was beautiful and showed the ps2 at its max! now its time for the ps3 to dominate. i cant wait to play the game!

Thats good news that they got the white engine up on the ps3, and its great that they re confirmed it for the ps3. Good thing rumble is back itll be a cool experience how they incorporate rumble too.

FANTASTIC - Good on you Square. These guys are AAA class developers / publishers. If anyone is going to revive Playstation and PSP it is going to be Square. This company knows what customers want and they always deliver. No BS just excellent products!

sorry, I'm a true fan of FF serie, as I started it in the 16 bit time! but frankly, SE do way too many games and rip-off. FF X was, sorry, but the worst FF ever. if it wouldn't have the name FF nor SE; everyone would have ruined it.
Actually, I'm quite anxious about the FF's games quality.
anyway, the FF will drive Japan's sell's number, be it good or bad., THat's good. But I don't think FF can is anymore a serie that can revive a console. (a FFVII remake would) we'll see

@james3579. FFXIII is 'realtime' in therms of its turnbased system. however FFXIII versus is an action RPG similar to kingdom hearts. and.. those trailers they showed were just cg movies, not acual combat. turnbased games always have trailers/moves of things you cant really do :P.

EGM doesn't knows what they are talking about (as usual). The first trailer shown for Final Fantasy XIII was a mix of CG and IN-GAME graphics. There was a quote by the games producer a while back saying he was impressed how many people couldn't tell which was which. I found it quite obvious - especially in still images. All the gameplay shots (the ones with HUD) had imperfect AA and are clearly realtime rendered.
