Sony is holding a contest for people to design their own character for the fantasy RPG title Folklore. Entries will be judged by a panel from Japan’s Game Republic studios which will include Okamoto-San, executive producer for Onimusha, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and now Folklore.
The rules are as follows:
- All entries must be received by 12:00 GMT on Monday 22 October 2007.
- All contest participants must be aged 12 or over and be permanent residents of one of the following countries: Austria, Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The chosen winner of the game will have his/her character put into the game as downloadable content and runners up will receive a free copy of the game and a Folklore goodybag.

This game is going to be sick. I can't wait. I think I'm goona have a fight with best buy if they don't get me the 60 dollar card they promised me. You know they'll periodically have downloadable packages for this game? To my understanding, you get 4 dungeons, many new monsters, and 1 new power up/folksoul id thing or whatever you call them. Only for a few dollars each.
they must be hold the contest for several regions. I'd expect them to do it for japan next if they havent already done it. I really like that they made it possible for people to have a chance to be a part of the game's development, I might actually try to enter the next contest I see pop up for the US.
