Great game. I love every second of it.

Sells will go up during christmas. I am sure there still is alot of people that did not have the money and would want it for a present.

Theres another thing to remember in about a year you know there will be a Subsistence verson with more content just like all the other MGS games. So theres im shure a good chunck that are just holding off for that.

It will probably get at a min 4.5mil, this is the best game on the market currently! I wonder if Little Big Planet can topple it!

anyways i say 5mill or more.. its only ben out for a month and a half and allready allmost 4 mill.. so we got another 4 months left in this year,so ima go ahead and shoot for 5.5 mill or 6.

It is my favorite ps3 game so far as well. Game is just so well put together, story/ gameplay everything I loved. Hideo Kojima is a master of game development, the most innovative. My favorite!

You're entitiled to your own opinion, but not many games ship or sell that much so I don't truly understand your point in this. Also flaming the guy will(most likely)  just provoke him into saying something back and before we know it we need to delete comments off of this.

Anyway congrats to MGS4 for selling this much, it deserves it.

I'm sorry 19, greater sales don't make a greater game.  I'm an avid halo player, literally hours a day, but if given the choice between halo the rest of my life or Metal Gear Solid, Snake wins every time!!!!!!!!!!!  It's a superior game, with superior gameplay, a superior story, superior development and it's just halo's better in every way.

Update MGS4 with Trophies :D I love this game...

great game, not had time to play much recently, but certainly one of the best games i've played in a long while!

2,6 million are sold so far to customers acording to vgchartz, so i highly doubt it is gonna sell more then MGS2 since that game sold 5 million.

But Since this game is definatly a must have game, i think sales will rise a lot with christmas

MGS4 deseverves that ammount of sales. Its so good. The graphics are unreal - Proves that the Cell isnt all that hard to work on if you actually try.

Hm.. I've got some money, a Dual Shock 3 or MGS4. That is the question.

I think I gonna buy a DS3. Because I gonna sell my SixAxiS and buy two DS3s.

I'm saving money for Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet and Motorstorm 2. MGS4 and Killzone 2 will be later on.

Now sony, just realise that the MGS4 fever is passed. Bring us someting!!!!

I just hope Kojima is satisfied.  I know him and his crew worked ther tails off to bring this epic game to the PS3.  I think they will reach the 5 million by the end of the year.

to all ps3 owners go and buy this game...............................really its worth a play.

take note developers, take your time and put some good effort in your games and you will get good sales.

MGS4 is as good as it gets. I've never played that style of game before (never even seen the previous games in the series), and I'd buy it again in a heart-beat! Really, this is how games should be. It's virtually perfect, and it deserves to sell 10 million copies... although by the end of the year I would predict maybe half that.

yeh i gotta say i always look for faults but this game has gotta be the best for this gen of consoles not even being a fanboy when i say this but it totally destroys gow 1 n 2 when its comes out,the only thing that will beat this will be a another ps3 exclusive and still this game will probly go down as a all time classic,in 10 years from now u will be telling ur kids to play mgs4.

is this the bundle cause im buying another ps3 and i want the mgs bundle... awsome anyyways

@tabular actually according to the article here on psu, it had shipped nearly 3 million worldwide, not sold.

this is an awesome game,  i don't have online but, a new game store let's you play for a very small fee. no it's not gamestop. gameplay plus, i was going to play MGS4 online tonight but, ended up playing GTAIV on x-box since it had to do that long update

I know this is blasphemy, but I kinda want to see it got to the 360 only to see how many it would sell on both platforms combined.

I think by the end of the year that MGS4 will reach at least 7 million.
