Monster Hunter 2G announced for PSP

Posted on September 21st, 2007 at 04:39 EDT

With Monster Hunter being wildly popular in Japan, the Tokyo Game Show was an obvious place to announce a new title for the series.

Monster Hunter is a third-person action role-playing game, in which the protagonist embarks on a number of quests to vanquish multiple creatures in a wide array of locations. The game features deep customization of weapons and armor, and a very unique item system.

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Portable 2G, an upgraded version of Monster Hunter 2, is in the works for the PlayStation Portable. This title is set to have new fields, systems and monsters.

There is no word yet as to whether it will have online play and no release date was mentioned. Be sure to check back for more details as they become available.

Monster Hunter is one hel% of a game.  It seems like kind of a jip that they just release MH 2 and now they're putting out some upgraded version.

@Kane- If you pick up a PSP get the first Monster Hunter.  It should be cheap, and you'll probably like it!
