so what they are going to polish up the old mgs were it was on the snes

I reckon they are done with the "solid" story line and they may create a totally new story line for the MG universe

 i think they should remake the old metal gears give a little update on the graphics and flesh out a little bit more the story.....but this sounds great

MGS3 is still amazing, I'd love more of it.

remake of the old MSX versions on the ps3 engine. snes??? i doubt they ever made an MGS game on super nintendo. they did for NES is that what yout talking about? lol      i knew they would make a number 5. let's have another long long wait. but, wil it be easier  for them to make a new MGS game since they've  had tome to get to know the ps3 system? let's hope there will not be delays..        no Metal gear raiden. but, you never know.      i think they should do liquid snake and show  how he got all twisted  up. he was an agent like snake. i think and was in foxhound

that would be tight remake the first original metal gears and then start a metal gear raiden :)

I think the next metal gear should be Metal Gear Solid: Snake vs Batman! XD that would be a pretty great fight though, HIGHLY unlikely. I think they should end with MGS 4 and keep making prequel and make other Metal Gears

I wonder if it means no more Metal Gear Ac!d games, I really enjoyed playing those even though they had no continuity at all from one to the next. I could imagine either a Metal Gear Raiden or even Metal Gear Meryl... hey how about Metal Gear Akiba!

It would be the first 2 metal gears I think that would suit this venture for Konami. The scenario's being Zanzibarland in particular.

That's business economics for you. They'll milk the MGS series for as long as it garners money for them. The only time we'll ever see an end to the MGS saga is if the series no longer becomes popular. It's always been like that.

I think the "Solid" in "Metal Gear Solid" refers to the fact that it is in 3D, not that Solid Snake is the main character. noobs

The first two Metal Gear games also had Solid Snake, but only after being released on the PS1, in 3D, did they add "Solid" to the title.

The "Solid" in the title does not refer to Snake's codename.

I think it is time to put the snakes to rest. It would be more interesting if they take it into a futuristic setting. Like the next one we see will have a grown up sunny and a grown up john.

I can't really imagine the Metal Gear series withouth Snake. I don't want to play as raiden, even if in cool ninja form. I don't want it. Snake is probally one of the most bad a** video game characters I've ever known and I really don't want any one else. I would rather see the series die here then, continue on with someone I won't like. That's just my opinion though.

Whatever they I will be there to support the effort. I can't get enough o Metal Gear.

I love the Metal Gear games, and MGS4 is a great ending. Don't make more of them (IMO)

He was awesome at the game's end, I wanted Snake to peg instead.

If Kojima isn't the Designer/Producer, I won't be buying it and neither will any other hardcore MGS fans either.  If you want a prequel, play MGS 1, 2 and 3 on the PS2 and PS1.  Then bring out the old NEs from your attic and play the other Metal Gears.

I think the next game will feature Akiba. They made a big deal about revealing his face, and he looks like a young Snake. Plus, at the end, you can see he really can fight.

if they are going to make another MGS game it should take place after MGS4 and feature the new cyborg Raiden...the cutscenes with him against vamp, and then him against all those guys while snake is going through the microwaves is prety sick

I say they should remake the originals, or at least rerelease them on to the PSN or Wii Virtual Channel. I wouldn't mind playing Raiden when he was kid, but that is a far-fetched as it gets. Playing Liquid would be EPIC, and maybe later in the game your Revolver Ocelot(I'm bout to start MGS3 >.< im slow) OOH! Even controlling Metal Gear would be EPIC(IDK wat happens in MGS3 or MGS4 so if im saying something that alreadys exists sorry) 

Hmm I like the sound of Snake being your commander...but introduce a new character...open the scene in an underground bunker,  the lights flicker as a bomb goes off above ground.  Camera moves to a cryo tube and follows it up to a tank.  And there is a semi-familiar face.  It resembles Snake, but a few features are off.

Who is this?  (A type of clone using DNA from Snake and some unknown woman...and of course she will come into play later in the game)

id love to see some metal gear liquid or metal gear raiden, like the explination of how raiden got sunny out from the patriots would be a great basis for a sneaking mission

I don't see why they should stop look at how long Final Fantasy has been dragged on threw the years. Keep Metal Gear coming.

isnt it obvious achiba is going to be the next metal gar as i reckon itll be about his wife getting either killed or kidnapped and him going to get revenge or save her and he'll prove himself in mgs5 making him int othe main main playable character simple :)

I would love to see a MGS1 remake that is done realistically.  The way Shadow Moses looked was AMAZING!!!!  If they re-made it for ps3 with awesome graphics, that would be great.  The Twin Snakes on Gamecube was stupid in my opinion because everyone was all "Matrix" with crazy backflips and slowmotion.

How about Metal Gear Grey, or something like that involving the story of Grey Fox. Either that or continuing the story of Raiden after MGS2.

well yeah. kojima said that he wants to see a younger generation take on his games. and he wants to see what they are going to do with it and help them along the way. this is the last metal gear WITH SNAKE IN IT. but he said nothing about the entire series ending. 

Just remake the First two Nintendo games and that will keep us happy for another 9 years
