Was the hype justified?SEGA has revealed that there are currently no plans to release the PlayStation 2 remake of NiGHTS: into Dreams outside of Japan, also squashing rumours that a Wii version may be on the cards at some point in the future.
Speaking to website Seganerds, Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka, the creator of the original Sega Saturn version of the game, stated, There are currently no plans for the PS2 version to be released outside of Japan, and no plans for a Wii version either.”
“It is being released in Japan, due to the high demand for the game. So there are no plans for a worldwide release... so far”, he added.
Due for release on 21 February 2008, the PS2 remake will feature improved visuals, 16x9 wide screen support in addition to a gallery and movie viewer option. It is currently unknown whether or not the game will feature new levels of any kind.
Stay tuned for more information as we get it.

psn id: gingo... this game looked fun at the time but looks really dated now i dont think we're missing out on anytihng
If you're going to pick up Night for Wii then Nights into Dreams should be played SOMEDAY. Night's was really colorfully amazing for Saturn and really brings one back to their roots. If I can, I'm gonna get a copy of this game for PS2 IF it hits U.S. I miss those old days.
this move shows stupidity. why release it on ps2? money money money. do it on ps3 where it might be good
Thats lame but they are moving it where the demand matters right now I suppose.
