Publisher Activision has confirmed that it will be selling standalone peripherals for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock across North America in "early 2008."
No word yet on when European consumers can expect stores to stock the wireless guitar used in the title, though it is more than likely both regions have them available within a similar time frame.
At it stands, the only way to obtain the wireless peripheral is to purchase it with the game itself in a special retail bundle.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Guitar Hero III use a wireless guitar modelled after the classic Gibson Les Paul, with the PS2 version taking the shape of the Gibson Kramer.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

Give the PS3 players the option for wired guitars!!!
Make them Bluetooth and I ll buy one. Other wise who cares. As for wired versions, they would be fine if they came with a longer cord. 10' or more at the very least.
why should we care the gituar was f'*ed up unless if they realase a wired gituar thatll fix the issues then thumbs up really
WTF i just wanna play with some friends? How hard is it to distribute some controlers?!!!
how do i download ps3 themes from this website that other people make? i know this is the wrong place but for some reason i cant make blog posts
@mikehunt92
Soon you'll be able to download them directly to your PS3. How soon, we aren't sure, but we're working on it presently.
hmm.
similar timing to rock bands standalone guitar realease.
wonder if Guitar Hero felt rushed by Rockband?
or if theres any relation at all..
I would rather have a linked account. I don't care about a new guitar. They need to fix the horrible lag and poop of an online game content.
